The previous deck on this project was installed incorrectly on a number of different levels. Once we got the old deck torn off we noticed that the ledger board was not installed with flashing and was leaking over the past 18 years. The reason they had insect and rodent issues as well as an unsafe deck surface.

We remodeled, insulated and re-sided the ledger connection space, sealed everything and redirected the drainage from the roof gutters.

The new deck features modern multi-direction deck board alignment, using Trex decking. We created two separate entertaining spaces and included plenty of seating with 29' of winding staircase. We then put some finishing touches on it with some Trex step riser lighting.
